FRENCH HOLIDAY HOME IN THE LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON REGION OF THE SOUTH OF FRANCE

THE VILLAGE OF CONILHAC-CORBIÈRES
How to get there

Wine making

The property is situated on the edge of the village of Conilhac-Corbières overlooking vineyards. The village is very much a ‘working’ village – many of the inhabitants are dependant on the vine for their living – and you can see the natural pattern of their working day unfold before you.

There are two small grocery shops, a newsagent/tobacconist (also selling bread and croissants). A short walk takes you to

  • A Relais-Routiers café bar, specialising in quick and easy lunches.
  • A local hotel with a simple dining room
  • A first class restaurant for that special night out

Lézignan-CorbièresThe busy market town of Lézignan-Corbières is 3km away. A market is held every Wednesday and in the summer there is a farmers market on a Thursday evening. There are several supermarkets, takeaways and restaurants. Lézignan has been a centre for wine production since the time of the Roman Empire and the artefacts and history revealed in the ‘Musée de la Vigne et du Vin’ provide a fascinating and informative perspective of the region.
